Native People in Barbados

   The population of Barbados is over 260000 people. They are mulattos, Indians and immigrants from the Middle East. They are busy with fishing, kayaking, working in McJob. People are usually friendly and social. The official language and it is the only one on the island is English. Among the locals who call themselves beydzhans (Bajans), so they have the standard dialect phrases and typical local pronunciation. Having a vacation and being busy with some activities, one can learn some dialects if he/she wants.
   As for religion, in Barbados one can watch complete freedom of it. The dominant religion is Christianity. But you can take any you wish. The Church of England owned 39 churches and cathedral now; there are also a mosque, synagogue and churches of other denominations. Choose any you like. But people don’t speak about the topics of religion – it is considered to be impolite.
   As for currency, Barbados dollar equals 100 cents. While on the island are accepted as American and Canadian dollars, using the local currency gives you a slight advantage. Credit cards - American Express, Discover Card, Diners Club, MasterCard, Visa, Barclaycard, Cardblansh, Eurocard, accepted in many places, traveler's checks - all banks and most hotels. To avoid additional exchange transactions, it is better to take with checks in U.S. dollars or pounds sterling, while you are having a vacation here and doing some activities.
Nowadays many local sporting events are integrated into the tourism industry. Long ago Barbados attracted tourists only by such activities as cricket and sailing. Now to this list diving, surfing and parasailing have been were added. According to officials, the island is an area of only 430 square kilometers offers a variety of sports like no other place on earth. Leaving your place for the vacation, you have to know that Barbados enjoys a reputation of one of the most favorable places to live on the planet. Barbados is famous for its luxurious resorts for the discerning and demanding travelers. Among the most popular activities are diving, surfing, parasailing, walking in the caves, flying in helicopters, traveling to "pirate" vessel, beach parties, horse ride, deep sea fishing, swimming with sea turtles and even undersea excursions on a tourist submarine.
